Tesserák and Nok

We are Corn Snakes. The handsome guy on the left is called Tesserák, named after his “tessera” pattern on the sides. He is a young male in the Aneri morph, which means he lacks red pigmentation and is therefore black and white. He has a very calm personality and, for a corn snake, does everything surprisingly slowly.

The pretty guy on the right is called (Red Bolshevik) Nok because of his Bloodred (Amelano) morph. This means he lacks black pigment. As a baby, he was yellow with distinct saddle markings, and as he grows older, he becomes more orange and will continue to darken until he turns fully red (hence the name Bloodred).

Nok is also a young male, but unlike Tesserák he is very active and always ready for a meal. Both boys were born in 2022 and live together in one terrarium like brothers. Each of them weighs around half a kilogram and measures about 130 cm.

Corn snakes are small oviparous constrictors originally from the southeastern United States.

I am a Boa Constrictor. I like to think things through first and take a nap before doing anything — no rushing for me. I am 14 years old, so I still have about 20 years ahead of me. No need to hurry then, right?

I am such a lazy boy that I don’t even bother to climb down from my branch to drink. Instead, I just hang down from it across the whole terrarium until I reach my water bowl.

I am a classic, naturally colored specimen. As you can see, I’m still beautiful even without any special genetics. I am also a proud father of 14 babies. I weigh over five kilograms and measure well over two meters, although for my species I am actually on the smaller side.

My ancestors come from northern South America, they are large viviparous constrictors. Girls of my species can reach tens of kilos and more than twice my lenght.
